Valentine's Party

Students enjoyed reading their Valentine's from their friends during our Valentine Party on Monday. 

And the winner is.....

Pineview!  We were awarded a new Smart Board for our Computer room and one of our students from our classroom also won an Apple lap top from Hy-Vee.  Thank you to Hy-Vee!  Remember to keep saving those receipts from Hy-Vee.   

Muffins for Mom - Friday, February 4

Just a reminder that Muffins for Mom is this Friday at 7:30 in the lunch room at Pineview.  Come to school and enjoy a muffin, chat with your child, or read a book together.  Make sure to stop down at our classroom to visit after you are through with your muffin.  We would love to see you! 

Matter

This week in first grade the students were introduced to Matter in Science class.  We discussed the three types of Matter and what makes up Matter.  Ask your student if they can name the three types of Matter to you!  Next week, we will learn even more about Matter and conduct some experiments observing Matter.  Check back to view the pictures of our experiments.
